X-1 Flare that caused November 7 aurora
Nov 7, 04, around 10:30 AM--a flare was already in progress around Sunspot #696. This flare began to grow in intensity. For the next hour and a half I videotaped the flare as it grew larger and finally developed into an X1 flare. It was awesome to watch. I took the attached frame at 11:48 AM Photo by Charles Tilley |
