Schedule YOUR Group For A Visit To
The Lucile Miller Observatory in Maiden!

We welcome scheduled group visits from:

• School Groups and Classes - all ages!
• Church Groups
• Civic Clubs
• Scouts and Youth Organizations
• Family Groups
• Home School Groups
• Astronomy Clubs
• Astronomy Class Lab Sections
• Any Group!

We will be glad to schedule your group for a visit to Lucile Miller Observatory with the following exceptions:

• We do not schedule groups on Thursdays or Saturdays
• We do not schedule more than ONE group activity or visit per day
• We do not schedule groups on days when the club has another event scheduled
• We do not schedule groups on days listed as "OBSERVATORY NOT AVAILABLE" on the website calendars

What we provide for group visits:

• The observatory has ample parking for several dozen vehicles and buses, both inside and outside our fence
• The observatory has a restroom, water fountain, and climate controlled classroom.
• The classroom, restroom, most telescopes, and observing deck are access friendly.
• Classroom seats and tables for 30
• Ampitheater seating for 50
• Computer and internet access including WiFi
• Access to all telescopes and areas currently in service
• Picnics are welcome - let us know if you plan to bring one

We will present whatever kind of observing and astronomy program you wish, tailored to your age group and interest levels. We have dozens of activities and programs available, even if we cannot do outdoor observing.

If you wish to do an all night star party, please contact us for recommendations. Tents and open fires are not permitted.

The observatory is on school property. All tobacco and alcohol products are prohibited.

There is NO CHARGE for our services. Donations welcome.
